Role - Mechanical Project Engineer

Salary - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


Type - Permanent


Location - Kent

My client works within manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Project Engineer to support current projects / contracts, on a permanent basis, in the Kent area.

Equipment Manufacturing  – Projects – Contracts – Mechanical Design 

The Mechanical Project / Contracts Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree or HND/HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 3 or more years’ of industry experience working in similar project / contracts / technical role
  • Have a good commercial awareness
  • Good knowledge and proficiency with CAD software
  • Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Full UK Driving Licence
The Mechanical Project / Contracts Engineer role will involve:
  • Supporting customers through different stages of the projects by phone and email 
  • Being a technical point of contact
  • Preparing technical documentation as required and offering technical support
  • Preparing plant layout and manufacturing drawings as required as well as mechanical design work using CAD
  • Updating schedules for projects
  • Liaising with colleagues, customers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget
  • Producing written reports
