Job Role- Design Engineer
Location - Winchester
Terms - Permanent
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)


My client is looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in Winchester.


The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree (BSc / BEng) qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD software- ideally Autodesk Inventor but other programmes will also be considered
  • Have a good understanding of design for sheet metal/fabrication
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Be keen to develop with a company long term
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
The Designer Engineer role will involve:
  • Working within the current engineering team
  • Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
  • Producing both 2D and 3D assemblies using both Inventor and AutoCAD
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on any contract issues and ensuring that all design and manufacturing processes run to schedule
  • Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
