JOB – Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

LOCATION – Near Basingstoke

TERM - Permanent

SALARY – Dependent on experience  

My client is an expanding company in the manufacturing sector. They are looking for an Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team near Basingstoke on a permanent basis. They are interested in any candidates from junior to senior level.

The Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Electrical Engineering
  • Experienced with control & instrumentation processes, ideally with plant machinery
  • Have a good understanding of DCS and PLC control systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7 or Mitsubishi PLCs would be beneficial
  • Fault-finding and troubleshooting expertise
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
  • Eager to develop and progress within the role and the company
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
The Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer role will involve:
  • Fault-finding, troubleshooting and repair of control systems
  • Working with pressure sensors, temperature gauges, control valves etc.
  • PPM and breakdown maintenance of control equipment
  • Maintenance and diagnostics of PLCs and DCSs
  • Working in a team to ensure optimised, continuous production
