JOB – Electrical Design Engineer
LOCATION – East Sussex  
TERM – Permanent
SALARY - £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client Designs, Engineers and Manufactures Special Purpose Machinery for a global client base. They are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in East Sussex.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team and work on impressive projects.
The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Qualified with HND BTEC Level 5 or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience within the Electrical Engineering industry would be preferred
  • Experience of using AutoCAD Electrical to produce layouts and schematics
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor software would also be beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of electrical cabinet layout and sizing
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passionate about their work and keen to progress
The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Interpreting technical specifications
  • Creating and maintaining circuit diagrams
  • Understanding electrical safety standards
  • Testing, fault-finding and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Working with and supporting the Senior Controls Engineer and Mechanical Engineers
  • Being proactive and pushing for constant progression
  • Occasionally travelling abroad if projects require
