JOB – Electrical Design Engineer

LOCATION – Surrey

TERM - Permanent

SALARY – £34,000 - £42,000

My client – an innovative Manufacturer of Renewable Energy Systems are on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis in Surrey.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Design of Electrical Control Panels / Cabinets, as well as understanding of Energy Management Systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for Renewable Energies to join a developing business and contribute to driving innovation in a small team.

The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
  • 5+ Years’ experience within a similar Electrical Design position.
  • Experience in working with Schematics for Panel and Electrical Cabinet building.
  • Electrical Panel / Cabinet Design using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or EPlan.
  • Experience in Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Systems.
  • Understanding of Energy Management Systems

The Electrical Design Engineer’s duties will involve:

  • Electrical Design and Build of Control Panels and Cabinets.
  • Preparing workable Electrical Schematics and Diagrams to enable effective build by Production Engineers.
  • Contributing to Design feedback of new systems.
  • Working across multiple functions efficiently.
