Financial Controller

JOB- Financial Controller

LOCATION- Pembrokeshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- Circa £45,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience

My client works within manufacturing, and they are looking to take on a Financial Controller, on a permanent basis, in the Pembrokeshire area.

The Financial Controller will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified to Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree level in Accounting, Finance or similar
  • 2 years’ or more experience working in a similar Financial Controller role or similar
  • Any previous experience working for a manufacturing company would also be desirable
  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA or the equivalent
  • Good staff management or leadership background
  • Strong proficiency with IT skills
  • Organised approach to work
  • Capable of working in a high pressure environment
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Financial Controller role will involve:

  • Being responsible for a wide range of activities in the financial department
  • Operational responsibilities
  • Overseeing staff and day to day duties
  • Setting targets and ensuring budgets are kept to
  • Creating monthly and annual reports for results and financial forecasting
  • Managing the audit process
  • Managing cash flow by tracking transactions
  • Looking for improvements that can be made to the accounting systems
  • Developing and also reviewing budgets
  • Overseeing payroll, purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Ensuring bank and balance sheet reconciliations are completed
