JOB- Hydraulic Workshop Engineer  
LOCATION- Somerset
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000-£32,000 plus other benefits 

My client is looking for a Service / Workshop Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis within the Somerset area. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding around General Engineering and will ensure they work to the highest standard at all times satisfying the company’s and customers requirements.

The Workshop Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree qualified or experience working in similar role
  • 2-3 years engineering experience
  • Understanding on hydraulic systems
  • Hands-on standard of working
  • Technical report writing and ability to communicate across all levels
  • Right first-time approach
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Planning and time management skills
The Workshop Engineer role will involve:
  • Carrying out engineering work on-site, customer premises and depots
  • Carrying out appropriate testing and installations in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements
  • Producing timesheet reports and report directly to the workshop manager / director
  • Risk assessments are carried out to the appropriate company standard
  • To be available when required for possible service & repair work 
  • Follow health & safety guidelines
  • On-time completion of stock requisitions for all components removed from stock
