ROLE – Lead Electronics Repair Engineer 

LOCATION – Cost of Portsmouth 

TERM – Permanent

Must have the right to work in the UK (No Sponsorship) 

Flexible - £35,000 – 45,000

My client works within Engineering, Electronics Manufacturing

The Lead Electronics Repair Engineer will ideally have the following Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electronic fault finding down to component level and proficient use of associated equipment
  • Single/3 Phase supplies
  • DC sources
  • Multi-meters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Function generators
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of reading/interpreting
  • Engineering drawings
  • PCB layouts
  • Schematics
The Lead Electronics Repair Engineer role will involve:
  • Lead a team of electronics engineers fault finding and repairing power supplies
  • Define and deliver the works schedule with the repairs and commercial manager
  • Ensure resource is allocated effectively to meet delivery requirements
  • Investigate and identify faults using ATE, bench test equipment and diagnostic processes
  • Document all fault-finding and repair processes ensuring robust traceability
  • Perform root cause analysis where required
  • Work collaboratively with quality and engineering teams to ensure corrective actions are carried out
  • Be the main point of contact to the test and production departments to ensure effective use of equipment in line with repair and production targets
