JOB – Quality Engineer

LOCATION - Cornwall 

TERM - Permanent

SALARY- £38,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)   

 

My client are currently looking for Manufacturing Engineers to come and join their team in Cornwall. This is a great opportunity to join a company who are the UK's leading Manufacturer in their field with endless room for career progression.

 

Ideally the Manufacturing Engineer will have the following attributes:

  • Degree in Engineering, or the equivalent in Science, Manufacturing (or related Technical NVQ).
  • Heating and refrigeration experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering
  • Right first time attitude
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail and adaptability.

 

Ideally the Manufacturing Engineer will have the following attributes:

  • Plan first production concepts using Production, Preparation, Process (3P).
  • Aid in assembly quotes and other business areas as required.
  • Define takt routings and kits.
  • Conduct risk analyses and process FMEAs for production.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Team to ensure final product designs are suitable for volume manufacture.
  • Raise change documentation and support the development of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) data for product.
  • Ensure final production documentation and Winman data are completed.
  • Assist Production and Quality Assurance with technical queries and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Design or adapt manufacturing processes from concept to production, ensuring parts and materials are fit for purpose with optimal throughput designed to meet our demand including the design and delivery of jigs and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with R&D Team to ensure final product designs are suitable for volume manufacture.
  • Complete first article release process for critical components/assemblies.
  • Develop and implement new processes and manufacturing equipment for new products whilst supporting our culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support installation of new production equipment in compliance with standards.
  • Influence product design for improved DFA (Design for Assembly) DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and efficient labour utilisation.
