ROLE- Assembly Engineer / Mechanical Assembler

LOCATION- Buckinghamshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £25,000- £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client manufactures small scale components and products and they are looking to take on an Assembly Technician / Mechanical Assembler, on a permanent basis, near the Amersham area.

The Assembly Technician / Mechanical Assembler will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Mechanical Engineering BTEC/ ONC/ HNC/ HND / Apprenticeship or be QBE – any hobbies of assembly / car mechanic work / model making would also be considered
  • 3 years or more experience of working in a similar hands on environment
  • Being competent with building products start to finish
  • Be happy to take on full training – have the aptitude to pick up the role quickly
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Have the ability to detect and correct errors
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team

The Assembly Technician / Mechanical Assembler role will involve:

  • Putting together components to create products
  • Working at small scale
  • Following drawings and working from instructions given
  • Working in a lab environment
  • Work closely with other members of the engineering team
