Salary- £28,000- £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client works within design, NPI and manufacturing and they are looking to take on an Engineering Technician, on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.
The Mechanical Engineering Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ, BTEC, HND, Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering ideally or similar
- Good mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge to transfer
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or development environment
- Hands on ability to build prototypes
- Be able to record and analyse test data
- Be computer literate – MS Office Suite
- Basic level SolidWorks CAD skills or similar
- Previous experience working with various manufacturing methods; sheet metal fabrication, welding, PCB manufacture and general assembly methods ideally
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Supporting the engineering team with the development of new products and processes into manufacturing
- Design and manufacture prototype products and test equipment – working with CAD
- Being involved in laboratory testing
- Performing experiments and tests when needed
- Data analysis, report writing and being involved in design verifications too
- Helping to create test procedures and service manuals / user guides
- Liaising with other departments to ensure products move well from NPI to production
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at all times
