ROLE – Product Designer (Point of Sale)
LOCATION – St Albans
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000- £40,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

Premier Engineering are currently recruiting for a Product Design Engineer to join a growing company in St Albans.

The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to manufacture. You will be using Solidworks and designing both Metal and Plastic products for the Retail Display/ Point of Sale.

Ideally we would like you to:
  • Be skilled in using 3D CAD software
  • Be able to create models / prototypes
  • Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
  • Have an understanding of design for manufacture
  • Have a design related degree (Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop your ideas from concept to production.
  • Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
  • Create models/prototypes.
  • Do market research, work with clients and listen to their feedback.
  • Use all manufacturing processes.
