JOB- Process Development Engineer    
LOCATION- Hampshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience (please advise what you're looking for)

My client is looking for an experienced Process Development Engineer to join their business working with the Energy sector, on a permanent basis, in the Hampshire area.

The Process Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering or the equivalent  
  • 5 years’ experience or more in a similar supervisory engineering project role managing teams of Engineers / Sub-Contractors
  • Previous experience developing renewable energy projects / hydrogen based technology
  • Have worked within FEED and detailed design projects within the energy sector
  • An understanding of the technical side of oil & gas operations
  • System design experience working with PFDs and P&IDs
  • Proficiency with software including AutoCAD and Hysys
  • Being able to use MS Office and ideally Microsoft Project too
  • Good understanding of safety requirements / COMAH
  • Previous exposure to controlling risks, HAZOP/ HAZID studies
  • Be able to meet project deliverables and objectives
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Process Development Engineer role will involve:
  • Working within existing Engineering team
  • Developing the existing engineering assets and enhancing the asset infrastructure
  • Looking at renewable energy opportunities to improve energy efficiency
  • Supporting with projects and helping with the coordination of maintenance and improvements of process systems
  • Developing solutions for storage and the capture of hydrogen
  • Helping through design work with the progression with existing plant and equipment
  • Providing leadership and supervision of other Engineers when required
  • Making sure that all documentation and certification for the facility comply with requirements
  • Monitoring the CAPEX budgets and performance
  • Being flexible with hours when needed
