LOCATION- Camberley, Surrey
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £20,000- £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment, and they are looking to take on a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.
The Purchasing Assistant will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experience working in a similar Purchasing, Procurement, Buyer admin or support role
- Previous experience working within engineering or manufacturing would be beneficial
- Good knowledge of the different stages of procurement
- Be confident to speak on the phone with suppliers
- Be able to pay good attention to detail
- Be willing to take on training and learn new things
- Be able to read and follow Bill of Materials
- Carrying out procurement and purchasing responsibilities
- Speaking with suppliers
- Working closely with other members of the engineering team
- Assisting with setting up and defining process of parts coming in
- Helping organise parcel shipments and also collections
- Being aware of ongoing later orders
- Working with the company PDM system; keeping the company log up to date
- Being involved in part making and kitting parts on arrival
- Being involved in stock checks
- Being involved in procuring sales orders
- Ad-hoc administration duties when needed
