SALARY- £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) please advise what you’re looking for

My client are a leading supplier of varied technical equipment and machinery to different industries and they are looking to take on a Purchasing Co-Ordinator, on a permanent basis, in the Essex area.

The Sales / Purchasing Co-Ordinator will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience of working in a Materials Planning, Production Co-Ordinator, Purchasing Co-Ordinator role in an engineering and manufacturing environment is ideal
  • Previous experience to liaising with suppliers would be ideal
  • Previous experience of working with ERP systems is desirable
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as a team
The Sales / Purchasing Co-Ordinator role will involve:

  • Working in the sales and purchasing office
  • Liaising closely with the drawing office, stores and machine shop colleagues as well as suppliers
  • Being involved in commercial, technical and planning aspects
  • Working with production orders and allocating internal and external purchase orders
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that delivery times are met for materials
  • Visiting suppliers to check sustainability policies are adhered to
  • Generating and creating sales and purchase orders
  • Ensuring that production orders are released to the factory by checking with the Stores team
  • Covering the sales department when needed dealing with customer orders and queries
  • Training will be provided to get you more familiar with their equipment
