JOB- R&D Project Manager

LOCATION- West Oxfordshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- Dependent on experience so please advise what you're looking for

My client designs and develops a range of engineering equipment and they are looking for a R&D Project Manager to join their business, on a permanent basis, in the West Oxfordshire area.

The R&D Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or be QBE from working in a similar technical role
  • Previous experience working within project engineering and also R&D
  • Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Have an appreciation for electrical engineering too
  • Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Be flexible to travel as required
The R&D Project Manager role will involve:

  • Managing a team working on the companies product range; the design of new products
  • Being involved in managing new product developments
  • Taking things from concept to launch
  • Helping to develop existing products too
  • Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
  • Producing technical drawings as needed
  • Offering technical support
  • Sourcing and selecting components that are required
