Role- RF Hardware and Software Test Engineer

Salary- £50,000 - 60,000 per annum dependent on experience

Type- Permanent

Location - Hampshire

Security Clearance required 

My client works within Electronics and RF industry.

The RF Hardware and Software Test Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Experience in integration, test and verification of RF systems
  • Experience in integration, test and verification of real-time embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience of trouble shooting and communication of found issues
  • Hands-on experience with lab test equipment such as VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Willingness to work in a lab environment
  • Ability to effectively interface with design teams and other stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automated RF Test Systems
  • Basic programming skills in Java, Python, Labview, Matlab or similar
The RF Hardware and Software Test Engineer will involve:
  • Integration, test and verification of complex software defined RF sensors built up by sophisticated signal processing algorithms
  • Understanding requirements and translating them into practical test cases
  • Developing and maintaining automated test systems together with SW designers
  • Generating test reports, analysing results, and identifying design improvements
  • Supporting design team with design related tasks such as reviews and trouble shooting
