The salary on offer for the successful Senior Electronics Design Engineer is £40,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience. This company is happy to hire a Mid-Level Electronics Engineer with 2-3+ years industry of experience.


Flexible hybrid working arrangement:

5 days working in the office is preferred but working 3 days in the office and 2 from home is available.


The role:

The successful Senior Electronics Design Engineer will join and integrate well with an accomplished and friendly multi-disciplined team. The Senior Electronics Design Engineer will take ownership of designs and lead technically when necessary as well as define new technology and innovations for future roadmap.


Essential Key Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience in the full product design life cycle - From concept to introduction into manufacturing
  • Electronics Circuit Design (analogue/digital)
  • Electromechanical components
  • PCB Design & Schematic Capture
  • Schematic capture skills across multiple tools (Eagle, Altium, OrCAD, or similar)
  • Microcontrollers, CPLDs & FPGAs.
  • Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART etc.
  • Various sensors (e.g. temperature, image systems, pressure, position)
  • Motor and Temperature Control
  • DC/DC power control
  • Lighting control (e.g. Lasers, LEDs, flash lamps)
  • Safety critical circuits
  • Good teamwork and communication skills


Desirable nice to have skills:

  • Experience in design for low to medium-volume manufacturing
  • Embedded C
  • Microchip PICs, ST ARM Microcontrollers.
  • Power Electronics - SMPS
  • Experience in EMC/EMI Testing, CE Marking & Electrical Testing
  • Visual Studio, DevOps, GIT.
  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Wireless technologies such as RFID, Bluetooth, and Wifi
