Role – Technical Publications Assistant (Engineering)

Type - Permanent

Location - Kent

Salary - £22,000 per annum pro-rata (6 month FTC)

My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment, and they are looking to take on a Technical Publications Assistant on a 6 month FTC basis, in the Kent area.

The Technical Publications Assistant will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Basic knowledge / skills of Adobe Illustrator / Adobe Acrobat / SolidWorks ideally but basic knowledge of Photoshop would also be ok (training will be given)
  • Have an understanding of 2D and 3D design drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great organisational skills are required and good time management too
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office programmes
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

The Technical Publications Assistant role will involve:

  • Preparing documents for use in their online catalogue
  • Amending any documents as required
  • Using ECN as and when required
  • Understanding 3D models and 2D engineering drawings
  • Liaising with other members in the technical Design team
  • Using Electronic Change Notes to correct data
  • Full training will be given
