Salary- £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client designs, manufactures and services electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Technical Service Director, on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.
The Technical Service Director will ideally have the following attributes:
- BEng/ BSc / MEng/ HND type qualification or similar in Engineering subject ideally
- 4 or more years’ experience working in a similar Managerial or Director level role
- Mechanical and Electrical hands on skills and aptitude are essential
- Be confident conducting technical training courses
- Excellent proficiency working with MS Office
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Be flexible to travel as part of the role as required – 50% or more of the time
- Being responsible for the aftersales service for the companies products globally
- This will include service contracts, spare parts, warranty, training and technical support
- Supporting the sales team and also key accounts
- Being involved in Auditing and Training the FAS network
- Reporting back on all product and field service issues to the factory management team
- Helping to develop and manage the after market systems
- Maintaining strong communication and a link to the brand
- Supporting new product development by providing constant feedback and field trial evaluations
- Head up Project Managing the investigation of issues of existing products that have already been installed
- Supervising Regional Technical Managers
