After an exciting period of growth, we are now looking to recruit a success driven, creative and enthusiastic Brand Manager to join our busy and energetic marketing department at our Head Office.
In this exciting and varied role, you will lead the product and brand direction for a portfolio aimed at professional trades people. You will take responsibility in steering your product groups commercially throughout the whole lifecycle, using your skills and experience in category management to review ranges, make recommendations and drive results.
This is a full mix role, so you will be a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally. Brand awareness sits top of your priorities, whilst simultaneously growing sales amongst targeted customer groups.
THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF THIS ROLE ARE TO:
- Take “ownership” for the successful end-to-end management of the product portfolio
- Analyse key performance indicators and propose actions to drive portfolio growth and margin within agreed budgets
- Manage product positioning within the market with specific focus on pricing, performance and competitor activity
- Drive brand awareness through the development, management and communication of national and customer specific advertising campaigns
- Champion a research led approach to identify opportunities for portfolio development with user needs firmly in focus
- Work with the NPD team to manage new product development and launch strategies
- Work closely with the Trade Marketing Executive, Graphic Designer and external agencies to deliver targeted marketing and promotional communications
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- A degree or equivalent in marketing/business studies
- Product and portfolio management experience including data management
- Ability to manage budgets and ROI
- A strong commercial understanding in taking product to market
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of key profit and loss data
- The ability to create and implementing effective strategies
- A creative eye and an ability to work to brand guidelines
- The ability to work simultaneously on different projects
- To be open minded and inventive
- To be able to work independently and take the lead
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will be educated in a related field with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a product marketing or product sales role, online marketing experience and/or sales experience would also be advantageous.
