ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT The British Tourist Authority (BTA) is the national tourism agency and a non-departmental public body funded by the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and trades under the name of VisitBritain/VisitEngland (VB/VE). BTA is a global organisation with 280+ employees based in 16 different countries and has a diverse culture. VisitBritain is the official tourist board for England, Scotland, and Wales, and is responsible for marketing Great Britain worldwide to prospective travellers. LOCATION AND WAYS OF WORKING We follow the principle of “Locate for your Day”, which means that we expect people to use their own judgment to decide the best place to work to meet the needs of the business. The majority of our roles can be performed predominantly remotely, however we are not a fully remote organisation as we recognise the importance of face-to-face connection, so you will be expected to spend some time in the office. The BTA has two offices – one in London (Cannon Bridge House,4th Floor, 25 Dowgate Hill, London, EC4R 2YA) and another in Birmingham (4th Floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B2 4AJ). MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Marketing Manager – France will deliver integrated marketing activity across the region ensuring activity aligns to the global marketing strategy and KPIs. The role has direct responsibility for the running and maintenance of the France language consumer website including the site build, content creation, and optimisation of the website to support telling the Britain brand story. Key areas of responsibility include the delivery of integrated marketing planning, both for campaigns & always on activity across the region, oversight of local language consumer website including content creation, build and optimisations; project management; reporting & evaluation; and being a brand and customer champion.
