Role – Mechanical Design Team Leader
Type – Permanent
Location – Wiltshire (Hybrid model)
Salary – Dependent on experience (please advise what you're looking for)
My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Team Leader, on a permanent basis, in the Wiltshire area.
The Mechanical Design Team Leader will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Chartered status, or working towards Chartership, would be a bonus but not essential
- 10 years’ or more of industry experience working as a Mechanical Team Leader, Manager, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in a similar heavy / plant manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of leading a team of 5 or more Engineers would be desirable
- Having knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD –Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Plant 3D ideally but other software may also be considered
- Experience of working within the energy, process, oil & gas or special purpose machinery sector
- Good organisational skills are required and good time management too
- The ability to use Microsoft Office programmes
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Mechanical Design Team Leader role will involve:
- Leading a team of Mechanical Design Engineers
- Working on a range of company projects
- Producing mechanical engineering solutions and checking designs from the other Mechanical Design Engineers – working with Autodesk Inventor
- Taking projects from concept to completion
- Working closely with other engineering colleagues
- Being flexible to travel to customers sites at commissioning stage occasionally
