The opportunity
As Onsite Support Technician you will participate in delivery of new IT support services and systems and participate in all relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practice. You will also support asset management processes to ensure hardware and software solutions are delivered to our customers according to SLA.
How Will I Help?
Participate in all relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice
Participation in delivery of new IT support services and systems.
Support asset management processes to ensure hardware and software solutions are delivered to our customers according to SLA
Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT procedures by identifying opportunities for improvement, sharing best practices and updating documentation as necessary
Actively promote a QBE IT team orientation & encourage communication & information sharing both within and across teams.
Provide after hour, weekend, and holiday work for outages, emergency situations and/or moves as required
Support a VIP Onsite Support service, ensuring enhanced support for the QBE Executive Community
Monitor application and services changes as well as understand the impact to our customers
Provide technical knowledge and advice to drive improvement initiatives
Actively promote a QBE IT team orientation and encourage communication as well as information sharing both within and across teams
Ensure successful daily operations by responding to incidents and requests, providing timely resolution, and delivery of service
Perform hardware and/or software installations and updates to desktop and/or laptop computers
Provides IT support for projects involving technical rollouts, office moves, upgrades
Facilitate accurate record keeping by documenting support issues and/or resolutions and communicating customer feedback to managers and IT team members
Delivery of defined starter/mover/leaver services
Your story so far…
2 years relevant experience in IT Support
Experience in Customer service and Problem solving
Ability to record technical issues for next level support and give clear technical instructions to customers
Familiarity with tickets systems. Preferably ServiceNow.
Familiarity with remote troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (O365).
Knowledge working with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
Experience with Apple devices (iPhones, iPads and MacBook’s)
