Senior Hardware Engineer – Buckinghamshire - £60,000 - £70,000 pa
A leading Electronics manufacturer are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their R&D team developing top of the range test & measurement equipment for the telecoms sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of test and measurement equipment
- Hardware & Software design and integration
- Design & test of prototypes
- Ensure the quality and reliability of designs by following established quality standards
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
- Hardware & Embedded Systems development
- Analogue & Digital circuit design and simulation
- Good understanding of designing circuits for fibre optics/laser/LED applications
- Experience with designing high speed circuits or digital electronics (FPGA, I2C, SPI, USB etc.)
- Embedded Software experience (Embedded C/C++)
Any mix of the following is nice to have:
- Experience with optical receiver circuits and APDs (Avalanche Photodiode) for fibre optics
- RF circuit design
- Microcontrollers & Peripherals
- FPGA design & Implementation
- VHDL/Verilog
- Linux
