JOB – Welder / Welding Technician
LOCATION – Leicestershire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY – up to £30,000 - £45,000 per annum + overtime and benefits (dependant on experience).
We are looking for a Welder or Welding Technician on a permanent basis in the Leicestershire area with experience in mainly MIG welding. Your main duties will be construction of welded structures and components.
The Welder / Welding Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- 2 years’ experience or more in a similar welding, technician or fabricator role.
- Experience using MIG welding of metals.
- Key attention to detail.
- Able to communicate with other engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Have previous experience working in a manufacturing business.
- Capable of reading drawings.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Any experience of industrial / heavy manufacturing – advantageous.
- Exposure to TIG – beneficial but not essential
The Welder / Welding Technician role will involve:
- Assisting the manufacturing team with welding, fabrication and similar responsibilities.
- Construction and fabrication of various components and assemblies.
- Accurate production of welds to drawings.
- Using M.I.G to weld various metal products.
