I’m currently working with a well-established System Integrator that delivers turnkey automation systems across multiple industries. Due to continued project wins, they’re looking to add a junior or intermediary level Control System Design Engineer to their team.
This is a hands-on role focused on the design, programming, and commissioning of control systems for high-speed packaging and filling equipment—covering both new builds and system upgrades.
🔧 What they’re looking for:
- 2–5 years’ experience in control systems, automation, or system integration
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar)
- Any exposure to Beckhoff is beneficial, but not essential
- Understanding of electrical control systems and schematics (AutoCAD Electrical or similar is a plus)
- Some experience across project delivery (design, programming, testing, or commissioning)
- Exposure to motion control, drives, or industrial automation equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
⚙️ What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the programming and configuration of PLCs and HMIs
- Assisting with electrical design and control system development
- Taking part in system testing, installation, and commissioning
- Supporting upgrades and improvements to existing machinery
- Working from client specifications to help deliver tailored automation solutions
- Collaborating with wider engineering teams on full system delivery
