Role- Graduate Controls Engineer
Salary- £27,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent
Location- West Berkshire
My client work within engineering and manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Graduate Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team.
The Graduate Controls Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:
- Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Have knowledge or experience of working with PLC systems ideally or an interest in working with them – Beckhoff or similar
- An interest in software engineering would be ideal – any previous exposure to C++, Java or similar (this could be in your hobbies too)
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Graduate Controls Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the existing engineering automation technical team
- Working on PLC’s and a range of projects
- Developing PLC code and software for projects
- Always looking at identifying areas for improvements
- Commissioning activities and testing
- Working from electrical schematics
- Integrating PLC code
- Fault finding and resolving any issues
