Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £36,000 - £41,000 per annum
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs with a focus on sheet metal and fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor

Design and develop components and assemblies for sheet metal and fabricated products

Produce Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
-
Liaise with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective

Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to support ongoing projects and new product development
Requirements:

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (essential)

Strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication

Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong communication and teamwork abilities
