About our Business…
In the UK, our teams – and that could include you – are working on the design of bespoke mechanical handling, process and test equipment including the associated control and automation equipment for the nuclear industry across defence, decommissioning and new build. Our projects include producing designs from optioneering and concept through to detail design for manufacture. Then taking our designs into manufacture through to install and commissioning. There is no “normal” project or day – our Graduate opportunities, and all of our roles, are for people who love creating solutions to complex problems and never stop learning.
Our Graduate scheme is now in its 7th year and considered a real success and a massive asset in the business, not least because of the successful contribution our Graduates have made and continue to make.
If you join us….
You’ll spend time in some of the key business delivery areas – such as design, manufacture and commissioning giving you the broad understanding of the industry that will enable you to take on meaningful work from the very early stages.
Mentors in the business are well established, committed to developing new talent and provide opportunity to deliver & own your work with guidance and support on-tap when you need it, not just around the work but around your development agenda, too.
We work out pretty quickly what you are good at, to focus you on that, and we find that people with a Maths or Physics background or of course Engineering in all its guises really flourish here, and stay with us long after their Graduate Scheme has ended.
Key factors for success are a willingness to get involved, knowing when and how to challenge, and the commercial nous to act like the money in the project is your own - by wasting nothing, we ensure continued success and opportunity to invest in our strategic goals and social value commitments.
What you’ll get
You will receive a starting salary of £28500 (or £30500 if you hold a Masters) and a £2000 joining bonus with £1500 increment per year based on progress. To help remove barriers, be they location or otherwise you will also have access to a number of additional benefits such as 25 days’ holiday, a competitive pension scheme and a number of flexible benefits
