ROLE- Engineering Technician

LOCATION- South Oxfordshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £23,000- £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on an Engineering Technician, on a permanent basis, in the Oxfordshire area.

The Engineering Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

  • NVQ / Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds / HNC qualification ideally or similar in Mechanical Engineering
  • Any previous hands on experience in a similar engineering manufacturing environment would be desirable
  • Be confident using machine tools
  • Be proficient with using MS Office
  • Any CAD knowledge would be desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Flexible to travel if required
The Engineering Technician role will involve:

  • Providing support to both the Engineering Workshop and Laboratory for development activities
  • Being involved in setting up prototype equipment and tooling set up
  • Undertaking and organising design changed when needed
  • Being involved in the manufacture and measurement of samples
  • Completing safety assessments on equipment if needed
  • Liaising with Project Managers and Engineers
  • Assisting with other general manufacturing activities
