Job Title: Financial Controller (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover)
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
- Lead and develop a small finance team
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
- Background in manufacturing or a similar operational environment preferred
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
