ROLE – Junior Desktop Support Analyst
LOCATION – Southwest London
SALARY - £22,000 - £25,000
A leading software specialist organisation based in Southwest London are actively looking for a Junior Desktop Support Analyst to join their internal Technology department on a permanent basis. Providing software as a service (SaaS) solutions to organisations within a wide range of organisations and applications the company boast over 30 years of experience in their field. This Junior Desktop Support Analyst role will develop IT skills and experience in a varied and challenging IT Support role where you provide a range of desktop support services to internal staff.
Reporting to the Senior Desktop Support Analyst you will join a skilled service desk function with a primary focus on providing desktop support as well as assisting with first & second line support issues.
The Junior Desktop Support Analyst will ideally have the following skills/experience:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal staff members of all levels
  • A good understanding of Microsoft operating systems (particularly Windows 10)
  • A basic understanding of hardware technology and network protocols
  • Previous experience in a similar IT Support/Service Desk role
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong planning, organisational and documentation skills
  • Active Directory & Group Policy (beneficial)
It would be a distinct advantage to have experience with Microsoft Teams, Jira, Confluence, MacOS or Office 365 technologies.
The Junior Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out laptop builds
  • Receiving and logging support queries
  • Assisting in the management of incidents & requests
  • Provide remote access support
  • Updating ticket logs and service desk documentation
  • Carrying out 1st & 2nd line BAU support to internal users
  • Installing software & imaging laptops
  • User administration
