Role- Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary- £35,000- £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent
Location- Essex
My client design and manufacture a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
- Be proficient with using SolidWorks CAD software ideally
- Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within the manufacturing sector
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the existing design engineering team
- Producing solid models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
- Creating the necessary documentation for the designs including BOM’s
- Carrying out engineering calculations when required
- Liaising with other colleagues
- Offering technical assistance when needed to customers and suppliers
