Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerType: PermanentLocation: SheffieldSalary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of products in various industries. Key Responsibilities: Design mechanical components, assemblies, and machinery using SolidWorks. Produce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models. Design sheet metal components and welded fabrications to manufacturing standards. Support machinery and automotive design projects from concept through to manufacture. Liaise with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Generate BOMs and technical documentation. Support prototype builds, testing, and design improvements. Skills & Experience Required: Strong experience using SolidWorks (essential). Background in mechanical design within fabrication, machinery, or automotive environments. 2 Years + Experience in Mechanical Design. Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
