Photonics Design Engineer - £35,000 - £50,000 pa – South Devon
 
A leading Photonics Technology company are looking to expand their R&D Team by adding a Photonics Design Engineer to their multi-discipline design team. You will be working along side Electronics, Mechanical and other Photonics Engineers, creating industry leading Photonics Technology Solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Photonic Components, Modules and Sub-Systems
  • Support Design & Development of existing products
  • Contribute to Product Development Strategy
  • Involved in Prototyping – Fibre-Splicing, Mechanical/Electrical Assembly and Optical Electronics Testing
 
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Fibre Optics/Photonics Design
  • Fibre Optics components, systems/ opto-electronics modules
  • Degree in Photonics/Physics or another relevant engineering discipline
 
Non-Essential/nice to have’s:
  • PhD/Masters in Photonics/Physics
  • Photonic Integrated Circuits
  • Optical Design Tools (Zemax Optics Studio)
