Job – Senior Analyst  
Location - Northamptonshire
Term - Permanent
Salary - £25,278 - £27,367 (including 10% shift allowance)
 
My client is looking for a Senior Analyst to join their business on a permanent basis in the Northamptonshire area. The ideal candidate will be familiar with instrumental analysis techniques, for example GC-MS, ICP and HPLC.
 
The Senior Analys role will involve:


  • To assist the Laboratory Team Leader with supervision of the workflow through the Chemistry Laboratory.
  • To train technicians in routine testing and in the use of analytical instrumentation such as GC-MS, HPLC or ICP.
  • To carry out basic analytical instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • To carry out laboratory testing to standard procedures in accordance with ISO 17025 accredited quality manual in a timely, organised and efficient manner.
  • To calculate and record results and observations in a legible and understandable manner.
  • To check routine results and help technicians with troubleshooting problems.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times observing risk assessments, maintaining work areas in a clean and tidy fashion and wearing appropriate PPE when required
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Test Laboratory,
  • Experience supervising a small team.
  • Experience of training staff
  • High level of written and oral communication,
  • Good computer skills (Word and Excel).
  • Qualification in a science-based subject, preferably Chemistry.
 
Working hours Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm
Plus a 10% shift allowance will be paid in addition to the salary
