JOB- Senior Manufacturing Engineer
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £33,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience

We are looking for Senior Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Dorset area with experience with composite parts for the Aerospace & Defence industry. They have different projects on currently so are needing to increase their headcount.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Minimum HNC/HND engineering qualification or 5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Ability to understand engineering instructions, processes, and drawings
  • Excellent knowledge of AS9100 and GD&T essential
  • Knowledge and experience in composites and GRP essential
  • Proactive in approach to customers & suppliers & areas to improve efficiency
  • Ability to lead technical meetings and discussions with customers
  • Thrive under pressure & have the will to succeed
  • Communicate priorities and timings effectively
  • Takes responsibility for ownership of issues and problems providing effective practical solutions

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  • Creating/ updating work instructions, process sheets, testing/validation plans
  • Designing & arranging manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and test rigs - experience in Siemens NX essential
  • Processing ECR’s and producing corrective actions
  • Supporting business improvement with lean techniques e.g. PFMEA, FMA
  • Working with Quality team to ensure best practices
  • Delivering continuous improvement, operational excellence, and lean improvements
  • Co-ordination of projects through concept to delivery
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and other departments with ongoing engineering issues
