Technical Administrator

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £32,000 per year

Hours: 37 per week

Purpose:

To provide technical, administrative, and systems support across the Engineering and Health & Safety departments, ensuring accurate data management, smooth coordination, and on-time delivery of engineering processes.

 

Technical Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engineering and H&S documentation internally and with customers, ensuring accuracy and traceability
  • Maintain engineering databases, ERP systems, and manual records for reporting and control
  • Load bills of materials and standard routings into the ERP system, preparing plannings for engineer sign-off
  • Support engineering delivery by monitoring process timelines and compliance with customer specifications
  • Assist CAD/CAM activities including 2D drawings, sheet metal routing/punching, and basic 3-axis CNC programs
  • Maintain data control for engineering documentation, including 3D models and paper records
  • Provide administrative support to the H&S function, including safety card logging, KPI tracking, and risk assessment updates
  • Carry out general technical and administrative tasks to support Engineering and Health & Safety teams

 

Technical Administrator Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in a technical or engineering administrative role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software and ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of CNC programming and engineering processes
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
