ROLE- Technical Clerk   

LOCATION- Winchester

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £20,000- £26,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My client works within the Engineering sector, and they are looking to take on a Technical Clerk / Admin Assistant, on a permanent basis, in the Winchester area.

The Technical Clerk will ideally have the following attributes:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent (A Level)
  • Previous experience in a similar Administration Support role ideally – any experience working with another Engineering or Energy company would be desirable but not essential
  • Good level of technical understanding
  • Confident to interface at all levels of client organisation
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work well alone or as part of a team
The Technical Clerk role will involve:
  • Providing clerical support for the Engineering team
  • Working with the Administration Manager, Project Managers and Sales Manager
  • Being involved from proposal generation to project support
  • Assisting with tender data collection and administration tasks
  • Compiling standard documents
  • Ensuring that supplier details are kept up to date
  • Creating and logging POs and invoices as required
  • Assisting the Admin Manager with any travel bookings
  • Answering the phones when required too
