ROLE- New Business Development Manager (Engineering)
 
LOCATION- Surrey (home working available)
 
TERM- Permanent
 
SALARY- £40,000- £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
 

My client works within the Instrumentation Engineering sector, and they are looking to take on a New Business Development Manager on a permanent basis. They are based in Surrey, but this role offers working from home options.
 

The New Business Development Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Be qualified in Engineering or Business or similar (Minimum A Levels)
  • Have a background in instrumentation or similar major industrial sectors
  • Previous experience working within technical business development and sales role
  • Be computer literate; proficient with using Microsoft Office and ERP software ideally
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have strong customer relationship building skills
  • Have a great commercial awareness
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Be able to organise your own workload
  • Be able to travel within the UK and overseas

The New Business Development Manager role will involve:

  • Researching and also developing sales opportunities
  • Putting in place new sales plans
  • Supporting the whole business strategy
  • Identifying new potential customers and markets
  • Working closely with colleagues in the Operations and Engineering teams
  • Always provide excellent customer service
  • Be involved in maintaining and also improving all client relationships
  • Representing the company when liaising with customers
  • Generating day to day sales
  • Staying current with market sector trends as required
  • Working with the marketing team to improve brand recognition and to reach more people
