Role: 2nd Line Application Support Consultant
Location: Kidderminster
Salary: £24,000 - £32,000 DOE
 
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced 2nd Line Application Support Consultant to join a leading organisation in Kidderminster.
The successful candidate will need Support queries that the 1st line team cannot deal with and have a strong knowledge of ERP Software systems.
 
Responsibilities: 2nd Line Application Support Consultant
 
  • Review program codes, with a familiarisation of indexed sequential file structures
  • Provide a 2nd line support within the business
  • De-bug programs where possible errors have been reported
  • Identify reoccurring customer issues, highlighting to Application Support Team Leader where necessary
  • Write programmes to extract data
  • Accurately log support incidents onto our IT service management system
  • Act as the link between our customers and the teams within our Helpdesk structure
  • Ensure exceptional customer care and service is always delivered

Skills and experience: 2nd Line Application Support Consultant
 
  • Programming background and knowledge of “vi” editor
  • Experience with supporting Linux servers
  • Knowledge of Windows and SQL beneficial
  • A good knowledge of ERP software systems, sales order processing, warehouse management and financials
  • Passion to deliver exceptional customer service
  • A desire to build strong customer relationships
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Confident, adaptable and personable
