Role- Associate Director (Interior Designer/Architect)
Salary- £50,000 - £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type- Permanent
Location- Hackney

My client works within high end residential, workplace and wellbeing projects and are seeking an Associate Director, on a permanent basis, in Hackney. The Associate Director will be expected to lead the studio, work alongside existing client projects, as well as new projects coming into the Studio.

The Associate Director will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree qualified in Architecture or Interior Architecture
  • At least 10 years of experience working in workplace or other commercial sectors in the UK
  • ARB/RIBA Member
  • Experience of designing high end residential, workplace and wellbeing projects 
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Excellent knowledge of building regulations and planning law to oversee compliance of the Interior Design team undertaken
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety management in Construction
  • Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Excellent level of design and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team
  • Ability to work and support the team when needed and coordinate with others
  • Pasion and ambition blended with experience, high quality design and creativity
  • Happy to be hands-on in all aspects of project work
The Associate Director role will involve:
  • Helping with the growth of the business and the generation of new projects
  • Leading the team and bringing an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
  • Networking with industry professionals and representing the studio at trade events
  • Developing concept designs and present them to potential clients
  • Creating detailed working drawings and supporting information as required to help sell the designs
  • Creating accurate and concise working and installation drawings for on-site fitting
  • Creating and lodging all local authority submissions from building regulations, planning and listed building to ensure all the work undertaken by the creative team is fully compliant
  • Communicating with the internal team as well as the Clients
  • Be well organised in running projects and ensuring timely delivery
  •  Attending sites as and when required in connection with plans, drawings, and construction contracts.
