JOB – Automation Engineer


TERM - Permanent

SALARY – £45,000 - £55,000

My client – a company delivering new and innovative solutions across the Renewables sector are on the lookout for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis in London. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience within the Design and Delivery of Automated Solutions from both a Hardware and Software perspective.

The opportunity will suit an Automation Engineer who's passionate about contributing to the fight on climate change by moving Manufacturers towards being Carbon Neutral.

The Automation Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
• PLC Programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi)
• Experience in a previous Automated production environment.
• Electrical Control Panel Design experience (AutoCAD or EPlan)
• Demonstrated experience in working with Servo Drives, VSDs, Robotics or Motion Control Products.
• Excellent communication skill.

The Automation Engineer’s duties will involve:

• Writing software for PLCs, SCADA and HMIs.
• Electrical Panel Design and Integration for Machinery.
• Participating in Project Specifications to participate in a full life cycle design process.
• Leading a Team of Electrical Engineers across Design and Machine Build functions.
• Working between a number of departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient delivery of projects.
