JOB- Compliance Engineer / Function Safety Lead
LOCATION- Biggleswade
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
We are looking for Compliance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Function Safety Lead, Compliance Manager or similar Engineer, Lead or Manager for a client in the Biggleswade area with experience in the manufacturing industry. Your main duty will be to assist the Quality and Manufacturing Teams in assuring that products and manufacturing processes are compliant to appropriate Directives, Regulations and Regulatory boards. We are considering people at both Engineer and Manager level.
The Functional Safety Lead / Compliance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR Qualified by experience
- Experience in a similar Compliance, Reliability, Quality or similar focused role.
- Industry experience within Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Exposure to various Regulations and governing bodies such as LUV, CE, UL, IPC, or similar.
- Capable of leading compliance and reliability activities for assessing product compliance.
- Previous experience with an ISO9001 or similarly regulated manufacturer.
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Experience within electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
The Functional Safety Lead / Compliance Engineer role will involve:
- Assessing product compliance and reliability for the relevant regulations and governing bodies.
- Working with Design and Manufacturing to ensure the products are to standard.
- Lead compliance and regulatory activities to improve product and process reliability.
- Work with other teams to meet CE regulations.
- Assist in the auditing process for the facility.
- Ensure that components are manufactured with environmental standards in mind.
- Assist in assessing new sub-contractors and suppliers for components and products.
