ROLE- Project Manager
LOCATION- Reading
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000-£40,000, dependent on experience
My client designs, manufactures and installs specialist products. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in the Reading area on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Have a solid background in Mechanical Engineering, having worked in Manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of design processes and installation
- Able to manage an organise multiple projects, taking things from order to installation
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Professional, with the ability to develop working relationships
- Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities include:
- Manging orders and design processes, organising delivery dates, liaising between the customer and the factory
- Writing method statements and installation plans
- Working directly with customers and developing relationships
- Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
- Planning and managing resources, both sub contract and direct labour
- Managing & delivering project plans
- Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
- Owning the profit and loss & cash flow
- Occasional travel for site visits as required
