JOB – Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION – Manningtree, Colchester
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £28,000 - £35,000
My client designs and manufactures a range of products that go into the rail, construction, marine and utility sectors. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a new Design Engineer to work in their office in Manningtree.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical Design - At least 2 years in the industry
- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
- Excellent 3D and 2D CAD skills (AutoCAD)
- Be able to work well as part of a team
The Design Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current design team, as well as liaising with the manufacturing and sales team
- Producing 3D and 2D designs using CAD software following specific instructions
