Fibre Optic Systems Design Engineer
Job Description
A leading Photonics Technology company are looking to expand their R&D Team by adding a Photonics Design Engineer to their multi-discipline design team. You will be working along side Electronics, Mechanical and other Photonics Engineers, creating industry leading Photonics Technology Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing innovative fibre optic systems that meet client requirements.
- Support Design & Development of existing products
- Contribute to Product Development Strategy
- Involved in Prototyping – Fibre-Splicing, Mechanical/Electrical Assembly an Optical Electronics Testing
Skills and Qualifications
- Fibre Optics/ Photonics Design
- Fibre Optics components, systems/ opto-electronics modules
- Technical experience in design and test of fibre optic systems
- Degree in Physics or Relevant Engineering discipline
Non-Essential/Nice to have’s :
- PhD/Masters in Photonics or Physics
- High power fibre optic amplifiers or lasers,
- Photonic integrated circuit design and/or characterisation.
- Experience within Photonics circuits, High power fibre lasers/amplifiers
