Systems Engineer – Devon £30,000 - £50,000
I’m working with a pioneering Electronics manufacturer who work within the maritime sector specialising in acoustic monitoring and electronics solutions. They currently have two positions open they are on the lookout for a lead systems engineer and non-lead systems engineer.
Responsibilities:
- The role involves the installation, integration and testing of electronic control systems and offshore environmental monitoring instruments.
- Developing system architecture and electrical systems for products.
- Maintaining electrical system design configuration control.
- Manufacture of cable assembles, Soldering, Crimping and mechanical assembly etc... to very high standard.
Essential skills:
- Degree in Engineering or qualification such as HNC/HND.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to understand
- Experience in:
- Electrical system design
- Cable assembly, installation and termination.
- Setup and configuration of computer systems
- installation of software.
- Configure network for local communication over TCP/IP.
- Interface to instrumentation RS232, RS422, RS485, Ethernet and USB.
- Communications systems setup WIFI, Iridium, Ethernet etc.
- Programming targeting Microsoft windows platform and microcontrollers C#, C, C++
