Job Description
Our company is currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Loughborough. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating detailed design specifications based on client requirements
- Using CAD software to create and modify 2D and 3D models
- Performing simulations and analyses to optimize designs for performance, efficiency, and safety
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project objectives
- Conducting tests and experiments to validate and improve mechanical systems
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical expertise and recommendations
- Preparing and presenting reports and presentations to stakeholders
- Staying up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering along with experience in designing mechanical systems and components. Proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of engineering principles are essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
